Taxonomy: Frameworks, Methodologies and Tools

The key to understanding the Six Sigma Fitness™ system is knowing and learning the Frameworks, Methodologies and Tools that make-up the program.

A “Framework" is a loose but incomplete structure that leaves room for other practices and tools to be included, but provides and suggests much of the process required. A framework allows room for many methodologies to be used depending on the need and changes as new science is discovered.

A “Methodology" is a set of principles, tools and practices which can be used to guide processes to achieve a particular goal within the Framework.

A “Tool” is used to support and assist in the application of the methodology by performing the analytical and interpretive work.
